ICB is no longer a QAP (Quality Assurance Partner) to QCTO.

ICB's qualifications like all other qualifications registered on the NQF - National Qualifications Framework have a start date, and end date and a teach out phase. These work in cycles every 5 years, and QCTO has not renewed this.

What does this mean?

For those who have previously achieved qualifications and/or credits prior have a lifelong validity and can never be revoked (taken away).

We are currently at the end of the current cycle, so what does this mean?  We are no longer able  to register NEW students on the legacy qualifications with the last intake date  30 June 2024. Any students already registered in the system have the three (3) year teach out phase to complete the current curriculum.  ICB will operate as per normal for this duration.

Any ICB student with a student reference number prior to 30 June 2024 can still complete their qualifications up to 2027/2028.

From the 1 July 2024, NEW students can still register with ICB and have the programmes endorsed with international recognition with a IQB -  A UK based External Examination Body. www.iqb.org.uk

This means all NEW students still get to benefit from quality education ICB offers in its courses and programmes.  The only difference is it won't be credit bearing on the South African Framework but students can now do singular subjects or the full programme.

ICB will issue subject certificates via IQB for each subject successfully passed, and if students complete a full programme they will receive a co-branded ICB and IQB programme certificate and a transcript of results.

ICB has been in existence since 1931 and well respected in the market place and now we moving towards international trends of short courses, "just in time learning" and "nugget learning" which means students acquire working knowledge sooner and makes you even more indispensable in the market place.
