If you want to book for an exam from April 2021 onwards, please don't despair.

The format of the portfolio has changed for the new Academic year which starts 1 April 2021. This means that subjects are on a roll out schedule with specific release dates.

This is a new process for both the ICB and students / providers and we are working hard to ensure that no student loses out on the opportunity to write their chosen subject. The schedule has been carefully considered and should allow students enough time to plan for and prepare themselves for the exams.

Once subjects are opened for booking, they are available for the full academic year.

With this in mind, here is what you need to know if you want to book from April 2021 onwards.

CHECK THE ROLL OUT SCHEDULE

The schedule will let you know when the subject will be available for booking and also what the Postponement closing date is for that specific subject (if you wish/need to postpone).

WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHEN I GET A POP-UP MESSAGE WHEN I TRY TO BOOK?

  1. This could mean that the venue has been closed for the next exam session and that no exams will be available for booking at that venue. Remember to check the ICB Website for available ICB Exam Venues.

    OR

  2. This could mean that no exam dates have been opened for this particular subject. Remember to check the subject roll out schedule for your subject and also to check the ICB Exam Timetable to ensure that there are dates coming up for your subject.

VENUE CAPACITY LIMITS

Due to COVID rules and restrictions, the ICB has been required to introduce ICB Exam Venue capacity limits.

We want to ensure that you are as safe as possible when writing a paper exam at one of the ICB Exam Venues. This means that once the venue has reached the capacity limit that no further exams can be booked or postponed to that venue.

Please ensure that you get your bookings in as early as possible to ensure that you reserve a seat for yourself.
