Some July exam correspondence/self study students moved to the online exam in August and the remainder opted to wait for another paper exam option.


PLEASE NOTE THAT THE BELOW IS APPLICABLE TO CORRESPONDENCE / DISTANCE STUDENTS WHO ARE STILL CURRENTLY BOOKED FOR JULY EXAMS.

You would have received an email from the ICB regarding the July exam sessions that need to be moved and this article will explain how to do this on the Student Portal.



HOW TO BOOK THE FREE POSTPONEMENT AS A CORRESPONDENCE/SELF STUDY STUDENT:


Correspondence/Self study students can book their free postponement for the July paper exams on the Student Portal.


***VOUCHER*** Each student has received a unique voucher for every July paper exam subject they have booked. Please check the email you received from the ICB for your voucher number/s.



STEP 1:

Students can complete the postponement on the student portal in the "View my Exams"tab.  


DO NOT book a new assessment. Postponements are done in the "View my exams" tab.




STEP 2:

In the "My booked exams" table, you will see a list of exams you are currently booked for and be able to view confirmations for these.

In the next table "My postponement options" you will see all future exam dates that you can postpone your booked exams to. 

If you want to move your July paper exam to any of the available dates using the voucher, you must click on the "postpone" button next to the date you have chosen.

STEP 4:

Once you have clicked "postpone", a list of venues will become available to choose from. 


NOTE: Only venues that still have seats available at the venue will show on the list.


Check the date you are postponing from and to and that the venue is correct. Click "Add to cart"


You will see the following message that the postponement has been added to your cart.


NOTE: If you are postponing more than one exam using the voucher, you cannot do these at the same time. You will need to repeat the postponement process per exam.



STEP 5:


When you have added your postponement exam to cart, click on "Check out" at the top of the page.


 Here you will see the postponement date you have chosen. Add the voucher code you received via email and click "apply". 


NOTE: The free voucher is subject specific so make sure you are using the correct voucher if you are postponing more than one subject.



Once applied, you will see the below message and a 0 balance for the postponement.




Click "Next step"  until you get to "Confirmation", tick the confirmation box and submit.



STEP 6:


Check that the postponement has been completed successfully by clicking on the "My Exam tab".


Make sure the exam date is correct. You can also view the exam confirmation for the new exam date here.
