Any students who have had exams cancelled due to COVID, will be moved free of charge to the next available date at the same or close-by venue.  Once accommodated, students can only postpone according to the postponement rules. 

Free postponements will not be considered for:

  • Student's travel plans not allowing them to travel 
  • Distance less than 150km from an exam venue 
  • Non-attendance of the exam without submitting a request for a postponement
  • Work
  • Sport, unless national/provincial team (evidence is required)
  • Failure to complete/submit a PoE
  • Failure to write the final exam (online or at a venue)

Free postponements may be considered in the circumstances listed below:

If a student does not want to accept the new date or venue they have been allocated by the ICB, then they will either forfeit the exam booking or need to book and pay for a postponement to another date.

  • Last date for postponement 31 July 2020
  • Postponements may be done on the student portal if available.  If not available, a request with payment must be emailed to the ICB by 31 July 2020.
